The force behind the sauceRoss Ballinger, creative designer
I was hoping to make as much impact with my appearance as I was with my portfolio!

I joined RJDA in September 2006 fresh from the University of Derby, but with a sought-after placement at Landor Associates London under my belt.

My tutors at the University emailed me to inform of a junior position available at RJDA. I remember turning up for the interview in black and white pinstripe trousers, pale green shirt and a blue tie! I was hoping to make as much impact with my appearance as I was with my portfolio!

The interview was tough, but the directors Rob and Lee encouraged me to be calm and try to stay relaxed as I went through my work with them. I got home and instantly received a call offering me the job: they never mentioned my dress code, but said that I had the creative passion they were looking for. I was really made up.

Nearly 4 years on and I have a more senior role here now. Energy, motivation and above all being happy are my key drivers for good creative output. I take great pride in caring for the brands I have created and even more so for the brands I maintain.

To be successful at RJDA you need a thriving passion for creativity, a strong personality with enthusiasm for design. You need to be organised, driven, punctual and have the all important keen eye for detail. If, like me, you can tick all the above boxes – you will sure thrive within RJDA's focused and efficient working atmosphere.

Creative Sauce is an awesome opportunity. This sort of thing wasn't available to me during my time at university and my advice would be to grab it with both horns!
